2025 CHRISTMAS COMPETITION RESULTS
Sunday 21st December we held our annual Fur n Feather Christmas competition. Eighteen anglers took part from the depths of Cornwall to the regions of Devon…nice to welcome back friends that we haven’t seen for a while. We all gathered round first light for a festive sausage roll and some mulled wine kindly brought along by Andrew Willoughby. Peg cards were drawn and everyone walked off to their pegs before the starter hooter sounded. It was pretty clear with the weather changing from low to high pressure that the fishing was going to be challenging. The first hour produced a good number of fish from various pegs but it certainly got harder as the day went on.
Midday we all stopped for a festive lunch, including hot pasties, egg and bacon flan, sausage rolls and mince pies and cream, etc….and a few festive drinks so everyone returned to the lake in good spirits.
First Place, winning the Fantastic Christmas Turkey Hamper was Phil Adlam from Liskeard. Second Place went to local angler, Dan Woodward, who got the pick of prizes from the festive table. Third Place went to Torpoint angler, Andrew Willoughby, again able to choose from a range of prizes. Every angler that took part got a prize, they were able to choose from the prize table (shown in the photos) in order of their finishing positions.
We would like to Thank You all once again for your continued support throughout 2025. A big Thanks to our bailiffs, Peter and Stuart, for helping us maintain the fishery.
We look forward to seeing you soon and wish you all Tightlines in 2026.
Happy New Year
Dave & Theresa
