CHRISTMAS COMPETITION:

This event is a festive celebration for all. Held on a weekend just before Christmas a light hearted friendly occassion for all Innis visitors to come together for the fishing and comradeship. With a days fishing and a festive treats and a Cornish Pasty its a great way to start your Christmas. The event has been running for several years and normally has a 9.30am start. If you are interested in any event at Innis you will be well received and welcome. On completion of the event competitors will attend the Prize giving will consist of seasonal gifts and a festive raffle.. 2024 CHRISTMAS COMPETITION RESULTS

Sunday 22nd December ..Even though the adverse Amber weather forecast for the South West…fifteen hardy anglers turned up and took the elements on.

They were rewarded with a total of 65 fish giving a healthy rod average of 4.3. Anglers were welcomed with a seasonal glass of port to choose their pegs before heading out to face blustery conditions. At lunch time a festive buffet with tea/coffee and warmed mulled wine were served. A lot of banter about how the day was going was exchanged but it was clear that some pegs had fished better than others. The presentation took place afterwards with prizes for every angler taking part. Prizes included a Christmas lunch hamper for first place and various Christmas fayre.

Dave and Theresa would like to Thank all our anglers for supporting the fishery throughout the year. Special Thank You to our main bailiff Peter for all his help and Stuart for helping look after the Fishery with us.

Top rod was Andrew Willoughby catching 12 fish off 4 pegs for a total of 16 points. Second was Innis’ owner, Dave Johns, with 7 fish off 3 pegs for 10 points. Third was Steve Retallack catching 6 fish off 3 pegs for a total of 9 points. There was no blanks which was a testimony to all that took part. Full results and photos are shown below.
